They say never meet your heroes but Dr. Greger lived up to and surpassed all our expectations. Baptist Hospital in Miami hosted a plant-based conference where Dr. Greger and Marco Borges were keynote speakers. Peacefield was a sponsor and had a booth where we talked about the ethical side of going vegan, raised awareness for the sanctuary, and sold merch to support the mission!

John's mom and Peacefield board member Kathy shares her vegan transformation. After reading How Not To Die she went 100% whole food plant based vegan. Losing over 50lbs, getting off medication, and finding new energy she now regularly runs half marathons, crushes f45/Orange Theory Classes, and is more active than she's ever been.

Dr. Max is the COOLEST. He's an inventor, scientist, doctor, teacher, surfer, turtle-rescuer, has been vegan since 1987 and the list goes on! He reached out to us when we announced that Peacefield would be located in Newberry. He works and is sought after around the world helping animals, but as luck would have it he lives just minutes from us!!!!
